Platform:
Vision – Leadership – Proven Results
Brett has the experience, ability, and work ethic to position the Iowa Federation of Young Republicans for sustainable growth for years to come. Brett is passionate about the Iowa Federation of Young Republican organization and was awarded the 2020 Republican Party of Iowa Youth Volunteer Award to recognize his key role in building our YR infrastructure in 2020.
Vision
The Iowa Federation of Young Republicans chartered objectives are clear: encourage young Republicans to seek office, support the principles of the Republican Party, and further develop chartered YR organizations across the state. Under Brett’s leadership, the Iowa Federation of Young Republicans will focus on these core objectives of engaging, equipping, and electing young Republicans. It’s important we leave issue lobbying to other organizations, as this is not our organization’s primary purpose.
While Chairman of Iowa Federation of Young Republicans, Brett will execute a meaningful strategy to help raise the profile of the organization, increase engagement, and position the organization for expansion across the state. From establishing a marquee annual fundraising dinner, working with large donors to fully fund our operational budget, building out new chapters to include all areas of the state, to positioning the organization to host the Fall 2023 YRNF National Meeting – Brett’s organizational ability will be critical.
Leadership
Brett has consistently gone above and beyond the job description of YR National Committeeman to ensure the organization continues to grow. While being actively involved since the early days of the Iowa Federation of Young Republicans, Brett participated in every Iowa Federation of Young Republican Day of Action and Deployment in 2020 by knocking doors or making phone calls. He has the knowledge and key relationships to hit the ground running on day one!
While in this role Brett displayed his steady leadership while:
- Coordinated fundraising mailing to fund 2020-2021 operational budget
- Organizing the highly viewed Young Republican Live! series during the pandemic
- Founded the Lincoln Highway YR Chapter
- Building the first website and online payment system and then coordinating with RPI on the transition to our new Nationbuilder system
- Organizing 2020 and 2021 YR Spring Conferences
- Organizing and obtaining sponsorship for 2021 IFYR State Convention
- Organized multiple Young Republican Deployments in 2020 for Young Republican candidates
Results
When selecting a leader of any organization – initiative, experience, and results matter. Brett has significant experience building a Republican Party organization, fundraising, event planning, and supporting candidate campaigns up and down the Republican ticket.
Brett understands that it takes many engaged individuals, not just a handful, to build a truly successful organization. He greatly values the time and energy each member of the Iowa Federation of Young Republicans puts into the organization and will empower them to move our organization forward together. Brett is committed to ensuring that the Iowa Federation of Young Republicans’ brand is well represented with experienced and driven leadership.
